Lending a hand with Culver City Shares
When the safer at home order kicked in here in California so many businesses like The Whole 9 Gallery had to close their doors. Lisa also runs The Peace Project a non profit that works on projects around the world. She was able to quickly pivot in to a pop up Food Bank and mobilize her community to help bring desperately needed groceries to hundreds of families in Culver City. Every week I volunteer with my neighbors to help do our part to ease just a little of the stress for these families. This project has helped me to focus outside of myself so that I don't get sucked down by my own worries and fears. Every act of kindness matters and this is one way I have found to help during these crazy times.
Hi there and welcome! I'm the designer and metalsmith behind Amanda K Lockrow. I've been making jewelry ever since the first metals class I took in 2001 at Syracuse University. I was drawn to so many different mediums from a young age but nothing challenged and excited me as much working in metal. When I'm not making jewelry I love exploring LA and all of California for inspiration.
I try to create jewelry with intention, love and meaning. Please send me a message if you have any questions about my work. email@example.com
