About Hematite Phantom Quartz
Phantom quartz forms when a crystal's growth pauses, allows minerals to settle on its surface, and then continues growing — leaving a ghost of its earlier shape suspended inside. When that mineral is hematite, the phantom takes on a deep red, rust, or smoky darkness, a record of time held inside clear quartz. Long associated with grounding and strength, hematite has been used across many cultures and centuries as a stone of steadiness and protection. Together the two create something that feels as rooted as it looks.
About the Tara Design
Tara is named for the Buddhist goddess of compassion and spiritual travel. The design began with Tibetan quartz, and over time I've added other beautiful quartz inclusions that felt at home in it — this hematite phantom among them.
The Story Behind the Collection
The Aislinn Collection was built around my long love of quartz inclusions — the different worlds that form inside these stones, gathered from places around the globe over many years. They've always reminded me of miniature gardens, hidden landscapes, dreams made visible. I named the collection Aislinn, a name of Irish origin meaning vision or dream. It felt exactly right.
