I have a beautiful batch of spinel stones in a rainbow of colors, and I love setting them into the Sophia ring. This piece is a simpler take on the original Sophia design, which set three little stones together like a tiny crown — Sophia, meaning wisdom.

Spinel ranks an 8 on the Mohs hardness scale, making it a wonderful stone for everyday wear. It's long been associated with vibrant energy, motivation, and a hopeful outlook, as well as calm and renewal, often worn through seasons of change and transition.

The Story Behind the Collection

The Stone Love Collection is the result of twenty plus years spent sourcing beautiful stones — one of Amanda's first loves in jewelry making, and still one of her favorite parts of the process. Each piece in this collection is chosen for the stone first, then built around it, letting the gem's color and story lead the design.
