About Herkimer Diamond
Herkimer diamonds are double-terminated quartz crystals found only in Herkimer County, New York, where they form freely in their host rock rather than growing attached to it — which is why they develop points on both ends. They tend toward exceptional clarity and a natural brightness that lives up to the name. Long associated with amplification and attunement, they've been used in spiritual practice for their clarity of energy as much as their clarity of form.
About Garnet
Garnet is one of the oldest known gemstones, worn and traded across cultures for thousands of years. Most associated with deep reds — though it occurs in nearly every color — garnet has long been considered a stone of warmth and devotion. It is the birthstone for January.
The Story Behind the Collection
The Sticks & Stones Collection started with the pebble inspiration: how we do the small things is how we live our lives. That idea, small and easy to overlook, but part of something much larger, has grown to hold my Oriana, Sunrise, and Stick designs too. Each one is inspired by a different texture I notice in the world around me: the bark of a tree, smooth pebbles from the beach, cobblestone streets underfoot, the colors of a sunrise or sunset. My signature hammered cobblestone and birch textures run through the whole collection, each piece a small, wearable version of something beautiful I've noticed outside.
