Description
Oriana combines two ideas I love: the pebble philosophy of small things mattering, and the warmth of a sunrise. Inspired by the rocky Maine shoreline I grew up watching the sun rise over, the design's rays echo that same light. The name Oriana comes from the Latin "aurora," meaning dawn, and carries a sense of new beginnings, light, and quiet strength.
About Aquamarine
Aquamarine is the birthstone for March, and one I find myself returning to again and again. It's long been associated with the sea, and with the kind of calm that comes from standing at the shoreline letting the waves wash worry away. It's also tied to clear communication, encouraging us to speak our truth gently, the way water moves: steady, unhurried, and without losing itself along the way.
The Story Behind the Collection
The Sticks & Stones Collection started with the pebble inspiration: how we do the small things is how we live our lives. That idea, small and easy to overlook, but part of something much larger, has grown to hold my Oriana, Sunrise, and Stick designs too. Each one is inspired by a different texture I notice in the world around me: the bark of a tree, smooth pebbles from the beach, cobblestone streets underfoot, the colors of a sunrise or sunset. My signature hammered cobblestone and birch textures run through the whole collection, each piece a small, wearable version of something beautiful I've noticed outside.
