I grew up watching sunrises over the rocky beaches of Maine, and that's where my love of catching sunsets and sunrises began. This design started as a custom wedding band, with the design flipped up to mirror a sunrise breaking over the horizon. It was meant to symbolize new beginnings, and the quiet kind of magic that happens every single morning, wherever you happen to be standing. These hoops carry that same shape, seven rays catching the light the way the first moments of morning do.
The Story Behind the Collection
The Sticks & Stones Collection started with the pebble inspiration: how we do the small things is how we live our lives. That idea, small and easy to overlook, but part of something much larger, has grown to hold my Oriana, Sunrise, and Stick designs too. Each one is inspired by a different texture I notice in the world around me: the bark of a tree, smooth pebbles from the beach, cobblestone streets underfoot, the colors of a sunrise or sunset. My signature hammered cobblestone and birch textures run through the whole collection, each piece a small, wearable version of something beautiful I've noticed outside.
