2019 Reading Roundup
For 2019 I set a goal to read 60 books to end the decade. I completed it and read 73 books. So if you are looking for any book ideas for 2020 check out my goodreads challenge for the full list. For my year end round up I'm narrowing it down to my top 10 here. Leave a comment and let me know what some of your favorite books you read this year.
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas, Becoming by Michelle Obama, Circe by Madeline Miller, Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur, Well Read Black Girl by Gloria Edim, The Sun Does Shine by Anthony Ray Hinton, True Refuge by Tara Brach, Many Lives Many Masters by Brian L Weiss, Tattoos on the Heart by Bregory Boyle, The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel Van Der Kolk
It was really hard to narrow it down to my top 10 for 2019, there were so many great books to choose from. But all of these books opened my mind and expanded my view of the world in some way and that's why I chose them. I believe the more we learn about each other, the harder it truly is to hate. Reading helps me to be even more empathetic in my every day life. I wonder if we all knew more about each other it would bring us together and end so much of the hate and violence in this world.
