Some of my favorite books I've read lately.
I was always encouraged to read books and to see them as not only a form of education but also entertainment. How I read has changed over the years as I'm sure it has for a lot of you. I fought getting a nook or kindle for years, but now I love mine. Then I was not up for listening to audio books because I thought I needed to carve out time to sit and read my books. But I really love mixing in audio books now with my music and podcasts while I'm in the car or working in the studio.
One of my favorite audio books so far is The Book of Joy. Listening to this book you could really hear the sense of humor, love, understanding and wisdom that comes from the experiences these two men have and it was absolutely wonderful.
Have you heard of Overdrive or the Libby apps? One of my friends told me about it last year and it's amazing! If you have a public library card you can borrow ebooks and audiobooks for free. Yes the waitlists can be long and you only have 21 days to finish. I use Audible too but it's more expensive so I love that there are free options out there to help us all read more.
I would love to hear what your favorite way to read is and also what books you've read or listened to that you loved!
I thought it would be fun to start doing a monthly recap of what I'm reading. I'd love to hear if you have any favorites too!
Both of these books I've read before but it was nice to reread.
