What I'm reading: February and March reading roundup
Reading brings me joy. I love listening to books while I work and I love settling down on my couch to enjoy reading at the end of the day. Some of these books made me laugh, some made me cry and others just taught me new things.
I have a book club that I go to every month and we'll be doing our next book club over zoom since we'll all still be on safer at home orders here in California.
There are a lots of virtual book clubs you can join now if you find yourself with a little extra time to read during this pandemic. If reading is the last thing on your list right now, just ignore these posts.
Kathryn Budig started one over on instagram called The Inky Phoenix.
Oprah also has a book club, that's how I found The Water Dancer.
Well Read Black Girl is another book club that meets all over the country but also has a great list of books highlighted on their website.
Books give me hope for our future, they show me dreams and ideas and help me continue to always be a student of life. I learn so much from all of the stories I've read. I am truly grateful for every writer I have read.
Please comment if you've read any books you love recently. Do you belong to a book club? What types of books are your favorite?
I'm here if you want recommendations. Books are one of my favorite things to talk about. I'm sure I annoy more than a few friends when I'm constantly recommending a book they should read.
